10th Birthday - Box 3

Hello! I hope you're ready for another Glossy Box unboxing - this time I decided to video the opening of the box for you so you can see how they arrive 🎁. In my last post  (Beauty Treasures) , I mentioned Glossy Box had sent an email apologising for the lateness of the box and that the next one would have an extra treat and true to their word it did! This box is more extravagant than the previous boxes because it is Glossy Box's 10th Birthday πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰!! This means the box is worth over £75 instead of £50 so contains extra nice goodies - watch the unboxing below to see what I got πŸ‘‡ So as you'll see from the video this months 5 products I'll be reviewing are Elemis Pro-Collagen marine cream, cuticle oil, eyeshadow, blusher and highlighter! I also got my extra treat which was a lovely face mask cream πŸ’† Let's start with the 3 make up products 🀩 Steve Laurant Celebration Eyeshadow Palette - As you'll know from previous blogs I cannot apply eyeshadow for the life

10th Birthday - Box 3

Hello! I hope you're ready for another Glossy Box unboxing - this time I decided to video the opening of the box for you so you can see how they arrive 🎁. In my last post (Beauty Treasures), I mentioned Glossy Box had sent an email apologising for the lateness of the box and that the next one would have an extra treat and true to their word it did!

This box is more extravagant than the previous boxes because it is Glossy Box's 10th Birthday πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰!! This means the box is worth over £75 instead of £50 so contains extra nice goodies - watch the unboxing below to see what I got πŸ‘‡

So as you'll see from the video this months 5 products I'll be reviewing are Elemis Pro-Collagen marine cream, cuticle oil, eyeshadow, blusher and highlighter! I also got my extra treat which was a lovely face mask cream πŸ’†

Let's start with the 3 make up products 🀩

Steve Laurant Celebration Eyeshadow Palette - As you'll know from previous blogs I cannot apply eyeshadow for the life of me!! When I opened this I was surprised to see neutral/nude tones as with it being "celebration" I expected bright colours! I definitely prefer the nude tones so this was a bonus πŸ‘Œ the palette is an ideal size and not too big or small and comes with a really handy mirror! I'll be using this palette to try finally master applying eyeshadow... stay tuned to see how I get on πŸ‘€ RRP £23. To purchase click here.

Lottie London Ombre Blush - The photo shows the ombre tones pretty well. I find most blushers just too pink and struggle to find that fine line between a rosy glow and looking like a clown 🀑 I must admit this blusher is fab and gives that craved rosy glow just nicely! I'd recommend this if you're like me and don't want too much 'blush'. This one is shade Haze but there are other options to choose from. RRP £5.95. To purchase click here.

Josephine Cosmetic Liquid Highlighter - I love love love the packaging of this and think it is really classy looking! In the photo above, I've swatched the highlighter on my hand to try and show the sort of shine it gives (marked X where to look). I much prefer liquid highlighter to powder so this is ideal for me 🌟 it applies really easily and looks lovely once on! I didn't need to reapply either as the day went on so happy days! This was shade 'Claire'. RRP £26.20. To purchase click here.

3/3 wins for the make-items so a successful box so far! Now to move onto the Elemis Pro-Collagen marine cream and cuticle oil!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream - Well it's safe to say I was buzzing to get an Elemis product in my £13 box! It's a miniature size of 15ml but even that retails at £30 so I'm winning!! This is an anti-wrinkle day cream and I've only used it for 2 days so far so I'll report back in due course on the longer term effects and hopefully my new baby skin πŸ‘Ά the 2 uses so far have been great and the product feels so light and moisturising and leaves a lovely glow on your skin. RRP £30 for deluxe mini or £87 full size 50ml. To purchase click here.

NCLA Beauty So Rich Birthday Cake Cuticle Oil - Of course to fit with the birthday theme something had to be along the lines of birthday cake (I'd have preferred cake lol πŸŽ‚). This oil looks amazing and aesthetically pleasing on my dressing table! It smells nice and sweet but don't be fooled by the glitter it's hard to get out to add some sparkle! I think I prefer the look of this product more than I do using it but as someone who constantly has gel or acrylic nails it really is a blessing in disguise for me! The pretty packaging will encourage me to give my nails the nourishment they deserve πŸ’… RRP £13.80. To purchase click here.

2/2 on the beauty items meaning this is my first review to score a 5/5! πŸ’ƒ

Well played Glossy Box on the Birthday box it was a real treat!!

Glossies Lost In Lockdown

Hello and welcome to 'My Glossy Box' blog! During lockdown 1 back in 2020, I decided to subscribe to the Glossy Box subscription for 3 months as a monthly treat to help get me through the unsettling life we were all living... In a nutshell, Glossy Box offer beauty subscription boxes that include 5 amazing beauty products worth over £50 delivered to your door every month. I loved getting the boxes but for some unknown reason didn't bother renewing until recently having a clearout (in lockdown 3!) I came across some abandoned and unused items from my boxes... the "glossies lost in lockdown". This random mix of goodies reminded me just how much I enjoyed receiving the boxes so I decided to renew my subscription! I've decided to post a blog for each box reviewing the items and hope it will help some of you decide if Glossy Box is for you! This first blog I'll be reviewing the random items I've came across and going forward will be blogging my new boxes

Dreaming of Paradise - Box 1

Welcome back to My Glossy Box blog! So for those of you who read my first blog (if you haven't click here to have a look), you'll remember I came across some unused glossy box items from my subscription last year that inspired me to resubscribe... well here it is my first full box review πŸ‘§ I hope you enjoy the post and maybe it will inspire you to get subscribing too! The theme of this box is 'Dreaming of Paradise', with 3 full size items and 2 deluxe mini items, the total worth of the items comes to £53... not bad for the £13 it cost me πŸ‘ Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush (deluxe mini) - I didn't need to try this item to review it because it is a staple in my beauty routine! Dry shampoo literally saves my life in between hair washes because let's be honest who wants to wash and blow dry their hair  E V E R Y  D A Y ?? Not me! It's a miracle in a can and this mini version will be ideal for keeping in my handbag. They offer a wide range for different hair colour
