Hello and welcome to 'My Glossy Box' blog! During lockdown 1 back in 2020, I decided to subscribe to the Glossy Box subscription for 3 months as a monthly treat to help get me through the unsettling life we were all living...
In a nutshell, Glossy Box offer beauty subscription boxes that include 5 amazing beauty products worth over £50 delivered to your door every month. I loved getting the boxes but for some unknown reason didn't bother renewing until recently having a clearout (in lockdown 3!) I came across some abandoned and unused items from my boxes... the "glossies lost in lockdown".
This random mix of goodies reminded me just how much I enjoyed receiving the boxes so I decided to renew my subscription! I've decided to post a blog for each box reviewing the items and hope it will help some of you decide if Glossy Box is for you! This first blog I'll be reviewing the random items I've came across and going forward will be blogging my new boxes π
So above is the random mix of goodies! We have hand cream, facial scrub, bubble face mask, eyeshadow brush set and make up removing cloths... I did say it was a random mix π
Naobay Orange Juice Hand Cream - hand cream isn't an item I tend to use since working from home (when in the office I do always have a hand cream in my desk) so it was actually nice to start using this and my hands have been feeling and smelling great. The cream absorbs really nicely and doesn't leave a greasy after feeling like some hand creams! Oh and 99% of the ingredients are natural - win win! RRP £7.40. To purchase

UNANI Smoothing Facial Scrub (Orange) - another orange scented item that was pleasantly surprising! I am quite lucky and don't have sensitive skin or suffer from any skin issues so I can't comment on how it might affect sensitive skinned people sorry! But this product left my skin feeling soft and glowy and matched my orange scented hands π my make up applied on lovely after using too! RRP £10.99. To purchase

LASplash Eyeshadow Brush Set - so I actually cannot apply eyeshadow whatsoever... it is on my to do list to properly learn haha! I thought these brushes would just get passed to a friend or my sister BUT then I was googling how to keep semi permanent eyelashes clean and it turns out an eyeshadow brush is a great tool for it. The set is out of stock on LASplash website but there is a lot for sale by various sellers on Ebay! Slightly off topic but for those interested in the eyelash cleaning

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Makeup Removing Cloths - these claim to remove your make up with just adding water which I though would be too good to be true... but they did indeed do as they claim! The leopard print style was cute and something different and the texture was really soft on my skin. This was just a sample pack of 2, they are sold in packs of 7 (one for each of the day week lol) and I will definitely be purchasing these! No more non-eco friendly face wipes for me π RRP £14.99. Talika Bubble Mask Bio Detox - ok so this was amazing and my fave find from this selection of previous unused glossy box items! Felt and smelt amazing and my skin felt like I had a proper facial afterwards... I don't think I even need to say any more - GET INVOLVED PEOPLE! RRP £8.20. To purchase

Considering one glossy box costs from £11.75, a quick glance at the RRP of some of these items shows how good value it isπ
. It gives you the chance to try products you wouldn't have normally, and let's face it, it's always going to be nice getting a little treat from the postman!
My posts going forward will be reviewing full boxes - stay tuned and see if a makeup subscription is all it is hyped up to be!
Really good blog π
